Find your friends in any crowd.
Friend Radar shows which way and how far your friends are, right now. No pinned maps, no endless "where are you?" texts. Just turn around and follow the dot.

Made for crowds
Wherever the map stops helping
Maps show a pin. In a crowd of 50,000 you need to know which way to turn.
How it works
Three steps to the meeting point
Add your friends
Sign in with Google and share your six-character friend code. Only people you accept can ever see you.
Pick your radius
Decide how close someone must be to see you, anywhere from 10 to 200 metres. Our server enforces it, not the app.
Follow the radar
The radar turns with your phone using the compass. Walk towards the dot and watch the distance drop.
Features
Small app, clever details
Radar that turns with you
GPS and compass combined, with distance rings and an honest uncertainty circle when the signal is weak.
Events
Create a group for a concert or trip and share one link. Everyone sees each other within 500 m until it ends, without becoming friends.
Hot and cold
In the last few metres Bluetooth (and UWB on phones that have it) tells you if you're getting warmer.
Floors, too
The barometer shows when your friend is two floors up in the mall, not lost on yours.
Ghost mode
One tap and nobody sees you, while you still see others. Tap again when you're ready to be found.
Radar in the background
Optional: get a gentle notification when a friend walks into range, even with the app closed.
Privacy first
Your friends see where to look, not where you are
Most location apps share your exact position on a map. Friend Radar never sends your coordinates to anyone's phone.
- The server works out distance and direction and sends only those two numbers.
- Nobody outside your radius sees anything at all, not even that you're online.
- Positions expire automatically after a short time. There is no location history.
- Delete your account and data in the app or on this site any time.

Good questions
When can I download it?
Friend Radar is in closed testing on Android, and the iPhone version is in the works. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once it's in Google Play and the App Store.
Is it free?
Yes, the radar, friends, events and ghost mode are free. A few extras, like the radar in the background, may later become part of an optional paid plan.
Can my friends track me?
No. They only see distance and direction, only while you're within the radius you set, and only if you've accepted them. There's no map and no history.
Does it drain the battery?
The radar refreshes every few seconds only while it's on screen. The background radar is optional and checks in far less often.
Does it work indoors?
GPS gets less precise inside buildings, so the radar shows a wider uncertainty circle. Up close, Bluetooth and UWB take over, and the barometer helps with floors.
What if my friend doesn't have the app?
Send them your event link. It opens the app if they have it, or shows how to get it if they don't.
